Samsung has officially brought its newest entry-level smartphone to Indonesia, Samsung Galaxy A10 on April 2. The smartphone was brought along with the other A series – Galaxy A20.

Plastic but Glass-like Look

Galaxy A10 carries a unibody design with the term “Glastic“, which is a polycarbonate material with a reinforced glass coating. With these materials, the back of the Galaxy A10 looks elegant and shiny like a flagship smartphone made of glass.

Only One Main Camera

On the screen aspect, Galaxy A10 has a 6.2-inch wide TFT-PLS screen resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. In the upper screen, there is a notch housing a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. On the back, the Samsung Galaxy A10 is equipped with one camera with 13-megapixel resolution (f/1.9 aperture) and is equipped with one LED flash that is arranged in one vertical field. The lens carrying the Galaxy A10 rear camera is also an Ultra Wide lens.

Unlike Galaxy A20, Galaxy A10 does not have a fingerprint sensor on the back. One unique point is, Galaxy A10 speaker hole is located on the back, not on the lower side like most smartphones.

Two Microphone Holes for Better Recording

Talking about the bottom side of the smartphone, there is a Microphone hole, USB port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Samsung also puts a microphone hole on the top of the smartphone. So that users can record the sound from two sides with this smartphone.

On the left side of it, there is a SIM and MicroSD slot. This slot can be pulled out by plugging the SIM ejector into the hole next to it. While on the right side there is a volume and a power button.

Low RAM and Internal but Huge Expansion

For hardware, the Galaxy A10 is powered by an Exynos 7884 chip with an octa-core CPU, which is paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. This storage capacity is expandable with a microSD up to 512 GB.

Good News: One UI

Galaxy A10 runs with Android 9.0 (Pie) OS that has been enhanced with Samsung’s unique interface – One UI. The Galaxy A10 battery has a capacity of 3,400 mAh.

Price and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy A10 is priced at Rp1,799,000 (around $125) in Indonesia and has been available since April 4, 2019.
